Maria Gina C. Nazareth
MD, FPCP, FPSN, FACP, FRCP(E)
Dr. Maria Gina C. Nazareth obtained her medical degree in 1992 from the De La Salle University College of Medicine. She completed her internship at Ospital ng Maynila and her residency in Internal Medicine & Fellowship training in Nephrology at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.
Dr. Nazareth was the president of PCP Southern Luzon Chapter from 2006 to 2008, the founding president of the PSN Southern Tagalog Chapter in 2009, and eventually, the national president of PSN from 2015 to 2016.
She is a fellow of the following organizations; Philippine College of Physicians (PCP), Philippine Society of Nephrology (PSN), American College of Physicians, and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. She received the Distinguished Fellow Award of PCP in 2008 and the Presidential Award in 2009.
She joined QualiMed Health Network in 2014 and is currently the Corporate Vice President for Patient Safety. Dr. Gina Nazareth also led and served Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center as the Medical Director from 2015 to 2017.
To further enrich her knowledge and experience, Dr. Nazareth pursued MBA in Health at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, took an intensive course in Value-Based Healthcare Delivery at Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed the Six Sigma Blackbelt Program at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
Her exposure to healthcare systems and leadership initiatives in the healthcare field allowed her to develop new insights into medical practice models and health economics.
Up until September 2021, Dr. Nazareth served as a board member of Health Care Without Harm - Asia, an international non-government organization that works to transform health care worldwide so that it will reduce its environmental footprint, become a community anchor for sustainability, and lead the global movement for environmental health and justice.
